If it feels like everyone around you is getting engaged and the only thought on your mind is “am I next?” then you have come to the right place! While it’s possible your partner can keep the proposal a complete surprise, it is more than likely that there will be a few small hints you will be able to pick up on in the months leading up to the engagement!

So… how do you know when your partner is going to propose? Well, we are no expert but we have gathered some helpful hints that may help you crack the code!

Hour You Know Your Partner Is Going To Propose:

1. They Are Being Secretive and Nervous

If you are starting to take your relationship to the next level then sharing every detail going on in your lives will become a very common thing - unless your partner is planning out the rest of your lives together! You may start noticing that he or she appears standoffish at times or hesitates when telling you their plan for the day but don’t freak out just yet! If your partner really is planning to pop the question soon, then it is extremely common for them to be more shy and nervous during the planning process. So, if you have noticed a shift in their behavior don’t start accusing him just yet and keep reading to see if more of our signs align!

2. Talking About The Future

I think we can all agree that communication is key when it comes to relationships! As your relationship becomes stronger, there may be exciting conversations regarding your future together that arise! This is a very good sign that a ring is in your near future. If you partner starts sharing big goals with you and is constantly finding a way to work this into your conversations then make sure you have that cute outfit on standby! Questions like “where do you see yourself in ____ years?” or “how many children do you want one day?” make it pretty clear on where his head is at and what his intentions are dating you! As your partner begins to talk about these things, it's great to reciprocate those thoughts and feelings to ensure that you're committed and ready for this new adventure together.

3. They Plan The Next Vacation

A vacation is the perfect opportunity for you a your partner to decompress, explore new cities andddd potentially start the rest of your lives together! So, if they start taking charge of planning your next trip when you’re normally the one stuck doing everything then this may be a sign he/she wants to surprise you!

This gives them the space to make those reservations and hire a tour guide and photographer without you knowing. There is something romantic about being secluded, perhaps even away from your phones, for you to celebrate a new journey! And who knows? Maybe your dearest friends and family and just a few blocks away ready to surprise you!

4. They Comment About Married Couples

You're at that age where you've been together quite some time and thoughts regarding your future together have definitely crossed your mind! Whether your partner puts more effort into hanging out with married couples or drops little comments at a restaurant where an eldery couple is celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary, this really shows what has been on his/her mind!

There is something special when you think about all of the memories you're about to experience through the next 50+ years. If you have noticed your partner asking subtle questions about marriage then that is an excellent sign that it is on your significant other's mind!

5.They Become Very Guarded About Their Phone

How can they hide their proposal plans with you looking over their shoulder? A sudden sense of privacy from you and their phone may be a sign your partner is going to propose. Again, try not to pry too much or over ask questions that make them seem more guilty than they are. They are doing something special for you and it may be important for them to keep it a secret. We are sure that hiding something this big is hard enough for them. Keep calm and enjoy the anticipation of your surprise romantic proposal.

6. Saving Not Spending

Maybe they're working overtime or picking up side jobs… all to make sure they can afford that ring and plan for your future together. These are important things to keep in mind when you're approaching engagement talk. Saving money means the potential of receiving your dream wedding ring and wedding bands. It also may allow you to take the next steps into being a married couple such as buying a home or a new car together. Weddings can be expensive but a house and children can be more expensive so it is key to have an idea of your finances for all of the things coming your way!

7. They Become Suddenly Interested In Jewelry

Your partner may begin to notice other rings that people are wearing while you're strolling through the park or eating dinner... take note of this! Seeing your partner's curiosity peak regarding jewelry can also be a sign he/she wants to make sure they get the right ring. If they are asking for your ring size then you may want to go ahead and make that nail appointment!

8. They Reserve Dinner Or Make Your Favorite Meal

If reservation-type dinners aren’t your partner's cup of tea or he/she is all of a sudden gathering a list to make your favorite recipe, then this could be another sign! With going to work, hitting the gym, or getting that master's degree, time spent together can end up pretty casual but there is definitely something different about this one! This may be out of the blue or something that you are not used to, but take this time to enjoy each other's company. Who knows, you may be engaged by the end of dinner!

9. Included In More Plans With Friends And Family!

You don’t just marry your partner, you marry their whole family! If your boyfriend or girlfriend has made more of an effort to spend time with your family, then this could very well be a sign that he/she is wanting to spend the rest of their lives with you… and your family! So, soak up the time you get to spend with your loved ones and get ready to add he/she to that big family group chat!

Julia and matt's wedding day was nothing short of magical! It was such an honor to create the florals for this beautiful wedding held at the addison grove. The soft pink tones in her bridesmaids’ dresses paired perfectly with the white ribbon we tied around their bouquets! The gentleman’s coats were pinned with simple blush and ivory florals that had just a touch of greenery.

From their ceremony to the reception, we loved seeing their design come to life! They said I do in the grove, with an arbor full of flowers! It was the perfect romantic setting!

Feeling all of the pastel vibes this fall! We partnered with some amazing vendors to create this beautiful shoot that was featured on wedding sparrow.

From the outdoor table settings to the full bouquet, it was a design dream. The blush roses were so much fun to work with as they paired perfectly with the grey and gold elements. Adding lush greenery allowed the bouquet to pop against the brides grey dress and cascaded through the wind as she posed for portraits. The addison grove was the perfect addition to the shoot as the beautiful barn is grey and the outdoors made for an amazing al fresco setting. And a perk for us our design studio was just a few steps away!!

The Knot Mixer: Pastel Floral Decor in Austin Texas

We were thrilled to a part of this cool spring evening celebrating all of the local wedding vendors here in Texas!

This boho themed event took place on a rooftop space in downtown austin! We used so many different flower ingredients to bring this pastel filled vision to life! To name a few - japanese ranunculus, japanese lisianthus, spirea, roses, safari sunset, thistle, delphinium, dahlias, berzillia berries and assorted eucalyptus were used to create the multitude of arrangements for the tables, bar tops and lounges! It was such a great event mingling with the best of the best event vendors in the atx area!

Thanks to the amazing vendor team for making the magic happen!

Kelsi and Cody’s aesthetic for their wedding day was organic, warm and romantic. The couple used rustic touches, delicate white flowers and natural greenery to bring their vision to life. Red and orange leaf-filled trees framed the open-air ceremony with a flower covered door anchoring the backdrop. The bride’s bouquet overflowed with white flowers - roses and peonies to name a few.

The couple’s green-and-white color scheme carried over to their reception. To pair with the wooded vibe of the venue, we topped the tables with a variety of vases holding lush greens and crisp, white blooms while draping green garland underneath. The flowers added a touch of romance, softening the space.

Last month, the addison grove hosted their very first design & decor showcase! This event is a chance for top-notch vendors to provide endless inspiration to help engaged couples explore their design wants and needs for their wedding day!

A big thank you to tracy collins events for providing such a fun and vibrant design plan! We loved being a part of bringing it to life!

We asked our lead designer, bethany, the inspiration behind designing the blooms for this event and she said -

"Knowing the showcase was southern-inspired, I envisioned an estate garden in all it's glory, blooming in spring. When designing the head table stands, I really wanted them to be pieces that told a story of southern charm and elegance."

We were honored to be a part of an amazing event and vendor team to create unique and beautiful florals!! We cannot wait until next year!

Andie + anant said 'I do' and sealed their love with a kiss on a beautiful october evening at the addison grove. Their vision for their florals was bright and vibrant so we focused on the color palette of burgundy, orange and yellow. This amazing color scheme allowed us to create a variety of arrangements using sunflowers, hydrangeas, scabiosas, scabiosa pods, seeded eucalyptus and touches of greenery.

From their welcome sign to aisle markers and the stunning asymmetrical arbor - we loved adding native bloom floral goodness to this special day. We absolutely adored working with andie + anant to create an event we will never forget!
